If one looks at the link in the post above, you will discover the designer of the P1800 name is...Pelle

I remembered a detail from my own experience in P1800 - many years ago, in 1973 or 74 bought one of my friends a P1800, he was obviously Volvo mechanics, today with his own workshop - but what impressed me most as we drove on the freeway, when he says: Try to press this button...& the car switched automatically to a fifth gear, I think it was called 'overdrive'. Shame this detail is not in GTL

Here a picture of the car as I remember it. Next time I see him, I hear he has pictures from back then. Today he runs...Volvo 240

No thanks - I had problems there with cut track warning in one section left under the bridge and then along to next white bridge. Couldn't sort it out on Friday. If I went slow it was alright but as soon as I speeded up and started using all the track (still staying on the black stuff0 I got the warning.

I got most frustrated and made a comment which didn't come out as intended

Ps quess if we use it I'll try using replay and see what it all looks like from all angles - perhaps the P1800 is a wider car than I'm use to - try the 914 maybe.

Some TR2/3s had overdrive on 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Very handy overtaking to be able to keep foot to floor and select overdrive.
